Day 1 arriving Kansai airport, we were running a bit late due to flight delay.
Before heading to our apartment at Namba, we decided to have our lunch at airport. A lot of choices there, but I had decided to enjoy cold soba.
not so much my cup of tea, I should ordered hot soba instead. I was barely ate my lunch instead finished off my friend hot soba :p
Soon after that, we quickly went to buy our ticket to Namba.
When in Japan, I'm sure everyone wondering what pass should be taken since the ticket is train/subway fares are quite expensive.
For us we took the Yokoso package which include Train to Namba and one day pass of subway~ to think about it we should just bought Kanku Chikatoku Ticket --> train to Namba station and one way subway ticket to Nippombashi / or any other subway station instead which only 1,000yen since we actually didn't utilise our extra subway day pass.
Where do you buy pass ticket at Kansai airport?
at the arrival you'll see Kansai tourist info center, man the queue was never short.
but I didn't buy our ticket there, we decided to go to level 2F to Nankai ticket Counter, cross the walkway to the other side of building (similar like Klia 2 where 2 different buildings separate between arrival and departure with shopping mall, taxi , hotel building #sameconcept
We bought both our Yokoso pass and Kansai thru pass (3days) there.
Getting to the right train wasn't that hard but wasn't that easy as well. For first timer tips to get on the correct train is look at your ticket for the correct time of departure and then you'll see in the picture below there are numbers in GREY(which actually not that clear if you wasn't really giving much attention) but that are the train track. and yes the train share similar track line, so follow your time of departure. Most of train in Japan is really punctual, they may be early but so far never late.
Just excited face though it was super cold. It was between 0c to 5c during day time.
So from Kansai airport we took the green route Nankai Airport Line arrive at Namba station, the from Namba station we transfer to Namba subway to Nippombashi station.
#Namba station is huge so don't under estimate the hard work to carry your luggage around #lessonlearn.
The system for railway and subway is two difference system so you have to exit from Namba Nankai station and walked to Namba Osaka Subway, it's still interconnected though. Just long and tiring walks plus battle with staircases.
We arrived at our booked apartment at around 3pm~ We were exhausted, super exhausted. Carrying my 13 kg luggage throughout all the staircases and transfer station at Namba to Nippombashi up to the point I have bruises on my left knee. In ordered to lift up my luggage well I just use my knee to support it. So it's hurt #hahaa
In the late afternoon, we decided to walk around the town only, our apartment is around 10 minutes walks to Dotonbori only but man it was cold evening -_-!
the crowds are unbelievable.
Glico man but the light not on yet.
this is actually in between of Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi entrance, the giant Glico man is here!
That was our first day, night is below zero celcius so it's a battle of cold for us. Back to apartment immediately.
